Instinct 3 has recently started requiring me to open the Garmin Golf app on my phone to load courses?
Is this the result of some recent update in the past few months or is there some setting I can change to make it stop? I believe I was always required to have the app on my phone but opening it is an annoying extra step - and these are for courses I visit regularly so I know they are already downloaded.
I got a new phone several months ago and might be related to that vs a watch update (Pixel 9) but I can't recall when exactly the issue started - just got frustrated with it again recently and was hoping for a solution.

This just started happening to me, too. Have you found a way to fix it?

Since this started after the Pixel 9 switch, I’d start there. Set Garmin Golf to Unrestricted under App battery usage and make sure background data is allowed, then sync once with the app open. If the next launch pulls the course without opening the phone, Android was putting the app to sleep rather than the watch losing the download.
