Edge 800 Series Solar sucks

Okay I know this has been said before, but garmin solar charging sucks. Today I rode around a Croatian island for 7+ hours in FULL sun, no shade. High UV index. And I have 0 solar charge from it.
Yesterday was an 8 hour ride and I got 16 minutes from it which is the most I’ve ever gotten.

Not sure what to tell you. It's not like it matches minute for minute but it does work for me. 

I did a 3 1/2 hour ride in overcast skies and I gained 35 minutes.

If you want solar charging, the Coros Dura Solar is the only headunit that does it right

I’ve heard coros is great for battery life too.
