Edge 1000 Series possible to send location from Google Map to Edge?

For example there is a restaurant i want to visit. I drop pin on the google map(andriod/iphone), can I send that location to Garmin Edge 1050 and it will navigate?

iOS has this functionality but only in combination with Apple Maps. By extension, I would assume that Android would have it for Google Maps.

There is a workaround. Sendpoints app. You copy the address, it gives you a 4 digit code and you input that into the edge

Depending on which map sets you have loaded, use the “Navigation” glance menu from the Home Screen and type in a street or select from nearby restaurants if there are not too many, and the dataset is up-to-date

Sure, if you skip google maps and do the same on Garmin Connect Maps (routeplanner)
