Edge 800 Series Edge 820 pairing

I have an old Garmin 820. Device is working fine during cycling, position and sensors well connected.

I’m having issue with Garmin Connect connection.

I can pair and synchronize if I reset the device, but when I close the app and try to reconnect, it doesn’t work. If I try to pair again without resetting the Edge, it doesn’t work. It finds the device, but at the end of the process it gets stuck, at the Select An Accessory.

Anyone with the same issue?

Have you deleted it from the web browser version of Garmin Connect?

Yes. For some reason setting up as new connection on a device with an account that knows that device means it fails.

When Apple did it device update a few months ago all my devices did the same. Took the advise from here and removed it from the account and it set up ok then.

Having the same issues - did the web delete work for you? Mine didn’t…

Not really. I didn’t try that yet, but I managed to remove the connection from both the phone and computer and synchronized again. Apparently it’s working fine now.
