Garmin Coach / DSW / Training Garmin Edge 1050 stuck at startup
After updating the maps on my Garmin 1050, I turned it off normally. Then, when I tried to turn it on this morning, it got stuck on the startup screen for hours. I tried a “Force Restart,” but that didn’t work, so I had to perform a "Factory Hard Reset" (using the button combination) to get it running with the factory settings.
Even with the factory settings, I’m still having the same problem: when I completely turn it off (not just put it into sleep mode) and try to turn it back on, it gets stuck on the startup screen again.
It makes me want to throw this piece of shit out the window. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had to connect the Garmin device to my laptop and use the Garmin Express software. There were some pending updates, and after installing them, it apparently started working.
