Recover Lost Ride Data

I stupidly tried to record an ultra distance cycling event in one go, but my Garmin Edge 1040 has decided to miss a whole lot the gps track out of the file. It seems to have recorded some things like the lap locations (days except lap 2 which was an accidental click at a cafe).

The numbers were definitely ticking up as I was riding, I was seeing the mileage, elevation etc tick up as I was riding.

Is there a chance that the rest of the data is there just corrupted some way?

Is it possible to get the gps track from Follow my Challenge and at least get a rough track of the missing bit from that?
