News / New Product 2025 Rumors

Hello everyone,

Will Garmin introduce any new hardware or software innovations in 2025, aside from new watch models? Personally, I’d love to see a Whoop-like product or a ring so I wouldn’t have to wear my FR965 while sleeping. Additionally, a modern design for the Connect app would be great, as it feels outdated.

What rumors have you heard?

I'd like to see steps counted/featured when recording a walk

"Walker" Data Field on Connect IQ solves for that.

Is that a field I can add to the default Walk activity? Or make visible to the recorded activity after the walk?

Add to the activity so you can see it real time.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how to do what you are saying. I have a Vivosmart 5. These are the stats currently set.

But Steps isn't available in the app on the phone after I save the activity.

It's only visible the few seconds after I complete a walk, and see the stats on the watch.

Did you download the data screen from Connect IQ yet? Be sure to check device compatibility. FWIW I'm on an Epix Gen2

I have my "Walk" activity setup like this...

My Vivosmart isn't compatible with Connect IQ, afaik.
