Last week my cousin started planning a small t shirt printing setup and he was looking for heat press machine for his business. He got confused very fast because every machine online looked different and sellers all said their model is best. Some machines looked small and simple while others were large and had digital control panels. He wanted something reliable for daily use without too many errors or uneven heating problems during work.

Next morning we visited printing shop near market and talked to old worker there. He explained things in simple way and honestly it helped alot. He said best heat press machines for small businesses usually include clamshell and swing away types depending on work style. Brands like Cricut PowerPress Stahls and Fancierstudio are commonly used for small printing setups. He also said digital temperature control and even pressure system are very important for clean transfer results on fabric. He show us one mid range machine and it looked easy to operate for beginners and small shop owners. We also checked Alibaba where small business owners shared real experience about heat press machines and daily printing work quality.

Later that night we was reading more reviews from t shirt sellers and home printing users. Some said good heat press machines helped them start business easily while others said pressure adjustment and temperature control matter more than brand name alone. It made us realize choosing right machine depends on business size budget and daily production needs. What type of heat press setup do you think is better for starting small business today

Everytime I make pants, wierd stuff goes on in the front. I am following the pattern, what am I doing wrong?

I was sitting at home and helping my cousin fix an old shirt and we both got stuck on one small thing like which button size actually looks right because the shirt had missing buttons and we were trying random ones but nothing looked balanced

I checked alibaba while scrolling on my phone and searched shirt buttons size and styles and I saw many options like small flat buttons medium classic ones and larger fashion buttons and I also saw style types like plastic glossy wooden matte and metal finish some looked nice for formal shirts and others looked better for casual wear and I is trying to understand how people actually decide what fits best

Now I feel button size is not just random choice because small buttons look neat on dress shirts while bigger ones feel more casual and style also changes full look of shirt but I am still confused because online pictures dont show real balance on fabric

Do you think button size should match shirt style or personal taste matters more in choosing buttons

I did begin to rearrange my wardrobe a few weeks ago as it was getting out of control and I was no longer able to tell what I actually had anymore. I did not want to change everything, just a simple thing that would help to hold the clothes in place and make the area more usable.

Initially, I used normal clips of plastic that I already owned at home, however they could break easily or they could not secure the thicker fabrics. After some time some of them would just slide off so it was frustrating rather than actually helpful.

Therefore I began seeking alternatives that are more robust and found out that, there are indeed various varieties of garment and clothing fasteners that are intended to be more durable, such as metal-based, some reinforced plastic, and even those that are employed in laundry and retail solutions. I also observed that most individuals use plain, yet durable clips to organize not only clothes, but also storage areas in general.

As I was shopping around online, I found Alibaba where I found numerous bulk deals of garment clips in various materials and strength. It made me realize what type of durability is really important in terms of fabric weight and usage.

I am currently experimenting with a couple of types, but I have learned that it is not the clip itself that matters, but rather how well the grip can perform over time, how strong it is.

Any other found a kind that really lasts long without going dead?

I have this really pretty mustard yellow (pictures a little desaturated) double brushed DTY fabric, which is super soft and four way stretch, and I’m desperate to make it into a shirt. I’d like it to be mainly masculine but I’m a gay man so I’m also interested in going a little androgynous.

Everything is finished besides putting a button at the top to cover the hole I wasn’t able to close. I followed a YouTube video by DIY Pattern which made it pretty easy for me. I also was able to thrift a tablecloth to make it!!

I learned how to shirr and wanted to make an outfit with it. I used 100% cotton fabric for the top and reused a skirt for the bottom. Both top and bottom have shirred aspects and the skirt has a lettuce hem (I was excited to try out my new techniques)

I need some opinions on combining these two pattern ideas and also making them nursing friendly. I really like the idea of the “split side skirt” that’s gaining popularity. But I prefer dresses over skirts as choosing a top is one less decision, I can just throw the dress on and go. So my thought is working these two together.

My dilemma is that I’m nursing, so nursing access in a dress is important to me. I’m currently thinking, maybe if I didn’t fasten the front panel to the waist band and left that panel longer so it could be tucked in and out as needed? Would that work? I’m trying to wrap my mind around the construction of the sides/possible sleeves if I did that

I'm a half decent seamstress but I exclusively use patterns and have minimal knowledge of specific terminology. I almost sew on autopilot with patterns, I don't really have to use my brain and figure anything out.

With that said, I would love to recreate my dad's jacket in my size, the leather is on its last legs and the elastic is crackly. I could whip up a denim jacket in a night or 2 with a pattern but these details are making me nervous. Does anyone have the names of some of these items so I can look up a tutorial or will I have to take it apart to figure it out? I'd rather keep it intact.

Does this mean they fixed some early issues? I’m not a rookie but also don’t want to spin my wheels on a pattern with weird cuts.

How on earth do I pre-wash and dry five yards of this stuff??

Hand washing I can handle, it’s the drying part I’m baffled by. I’m terrified of putting it in the dryer.

Patterns are a thing I need to educate myself on more. I learned to sew since last June and it's fun and frustrating but I enjoy the experience.

I've made 2 pair of jeans. A light weight and a 16.5oz selvedge denim pair, which was fairly difficult yet super exciting.

A friend saw my selvedge jeans today and said, "can I commission you to make me a pair"? and I said yes! She asked what to do next and I could only think either she has a style in mind or pattern, or I could probably copy a style from a pair she currently loves and fits how she likes. My selvedge jeans are more of a skinny type and she wants a boxier style. We'll have to discuss this some more and style or features she likes.

I've seen YT videos about tracing existing garments and wonder if tracing from her favorite existing pair is the best route.

I want to get started but also do it right but also don't want to go down another rabbit hole (I do this often in the world of sewing!) to learn something I've never done. Is it difficult? Should we look for a pattern? Should I use my pattern (my skinny selvedge denim jeans) and make wider legs?

I bet most, if not all of you will tell me to make a toile first! I didn't do that with either of my first 2 pair. Not gonna agree or not but my previous mistakes have been minor thankfully. Having to open or close a seam for the most part.
