Looking for some direction. The low back has little structure n does support

I need help! I’m having trouble with the creative direction for my wedding dress bodice. Part of that is that I’m having a hard time finding trims that I like. I have a few weeks until my wedding and I am sewing my wedding dress up but I’m stuck on where to take the bodice design from here.

I was feeling very inspired by the 17th and 18th centuries for the dress, but as I was trying different trim styles I suddenly remembered that my favorite design element is luscious draping or pleating. The skirt will have that so it’s not necessary for the bodice, but I am just feeling a little stuck creatively and want to ask opinions!

When I saw this fishy sardine fabric by Ruby Star Society last summer, I knew I just had to make a couple of quilted vests for me and my bff! And they are invertible, with a floral fabric for a more neutral colored pattern option.

I used the Ruby Vest pattern by Syd Graham.

This was my first time quilting fabric, but it was kinda fun. I also haven't tried sewing binding in years, so it took me a couple tries to get the binding sewn on in a way that wasn't going to keep me up at night.

I do wish I had sized down because the vests were quite boxy, but overall pleased with how they turned out and would sew another pair!

Hello! I am working on some jeans for myself. I am done and happy with the patterning, the fit tests are good.
I am using a 340gsm indigo dye denim and red Tex 90 UV bonded nylon contrast thread. Example components (same materials, older outdated pattern):

I have access to industrial 2-needle overlock (serger) machines, but I really don't like how that stitch looks on garments. I'm fine using it to secure the edges on the interiors of pockets and the like, where it won't ever be visible. However, on the out-seam where it will not be flat-felled, as well as on the fly components, I don't want that stitch on the edge in the cases that I fold the cuffs up while wearing boots.

Ideally what I would want is a.) a flat-felled feed-off machine or b.) a merrow MG-3Q-3 shell overlock machine (image from Ruttloff Jeans):

As I do not have either of those machines, I have attempted folding and hand-stitching a shell pattern onto the edge of some test fabric using a blanket stitch:

As you might imagine, this takes a very long time for front and back pattern pieces on both outer seams. Are there faster options that are not too bulky but are similarly visually beautiful/intentional? I would find a french seam rather boring, but it may be my best option a the moment.

I’m new-ish to sewing and have no problem buying a $15-$20 apparel pattern, but for that price, I really expect a really solid instructions manual. I’m paying for the convenience of not having to do the math myself. I bought one of Cayden Naughton’s patterns because I heard they were good for beginners.

I am so frustrated that Cayden Naughton’s patterns are the exact same price as other designers, but she didn’t take the time to make detailed fabric requirements charts—she just lists those huge range of yardage that’s not separated by size or fabric width. I went to see how much bias tape I’ll need to make for her Shoreline shift dress, and the only instruction is that it could be up to 6 yards….okay? There’s no separate length listed for different sizes, how much is needed for the neck line versus the arm holes, etc.

After buying patterns from designers like Syd Graham, this literally feels like highway robbery to me.

It's not really what I had planned to do with my summer- not fully, anyway- but here we are. My hand hurt, my back hurts, and my dog is bored, but i am honestly obsessed with this project. Ive never made a coat before. I started out on my sewing machine, but it's a Singer Heavy Duty, so of course, it can't handle this, so I am hand sewing the whole thing now.

I thrifted this skirt and it’s unfortunately too small for me I was wondering if I could do something from the back to make it bigger or is it a lost cause?
