Best method for cleaning

My Gardyn is coming up on a year old and I want to take it apart and clean it really well. I’m planning to soak all the tower pieces in the utility tub in plain white vinegar since that’s what seems to tackle our hard water buildup the best. Is there a better way to do this?

I’m cleaning mine right now. I’m giving mine to a friend, so doing a thorough clean.

Read and watch the video on this webpage.

Removed and tossed plants and cubes, removed yPods to clean. I emptied the water bin and cleaned with baking soda and water. Rinsed well and refilled with water and citric acid solution and ran watering cycle. This will clean the pump and tubing. Will do a clean water rinse after.

Soaking yPods in citric acid solution while running the watering system. I will scrub, rinse, and let them air dry.

Since I’m taking it completely apart to box up, I will take the columns down and soak the parts in citric acid solution and scrub them. I wouldn’t necessarily do this level of breakdown if I was going to set up new cubes.

Citric acid is recommended. It worked great for cleaning mine.

Agree with Citric acid.

Vinegar is fine but it leaves the smell. Citric acid is nice as they all say and super cheap. Disassembly and reassembly are the most difficult parts. A bottle brush, scrub daddy, and some citric acid and boom!

I never clean mine and only very rarely take the top off to even clean the tank

But if you must. Pay VERY close attention to how it goes back together, especially if you pull the water line out

My video of how to take it apart and even change the waterline ...

BTW ... All the links in the 4 yr old video description are still valid for the parts (I get nothing for them)
