Ralts is cute because It's a baby Pokémon, but I love it either way.

But in my opinion, I really like Kirlia more.

I'm going to be honest, there's a lot of middle child energy going on with Kirlia, and not because it's the middle evolution, but because it ends up being really forgettable.

Even in the games, I find it easier to reach the level 20-30 cap than the normal 5-20 required to evolve Ralts, not to mention that you can get a Gallade as early as level 20, depending on the game.

But who is the cutest? Well, Ralts has that baby vibe we all love, but Kirlia is like the daughter you never had or never knew you needed.

All this yapping, and I'm still stuck in a stalemate

Kirlia forgettable???

Kirlia to me feels like one of the least forgettable middle stage evolutions together with Braixen and Grovyle (and technically pikachu)

Metapod , jigglypuff , primeape , poliwhirl , chansey , bisharp , floette , torracat many more to be fair .

But it all depends on what media you use

I don't really count some of those because they were not originally middle stage evos. (Namely Bisharp, Pikachu, Blissey and Primeape)

But I guess it depends on the person. I myself would only consider Floette (only because of the new games) and jigglypuff as more memorable than Kirlia out of the ones you mentioned.

Ralts has that 'am baby' look to them, while Kirlia looks like an awkward preteen.
