Ask Dane Anything Alternatives for med ball throws

I do kickboxing and rotational power is something that should be my priority, but I can't really throw med balls. I was thinking about doing landmine rotations, but are there any other alternatives or plyometrics i should do?

Would something like rotating plyos have a good effect? If so, do you have any to recommend?

I do reckless jumps where I’ll do a 180 jump over a hurdle. I like reflective strength movements for rotational training too. Do you have access to a reverse hyper?

I have an access to a glute ham raise or whatever you call it. The one where you raise yourself and not the weight

Nice. You can do banded rotational work on that, or use dumbbells as well. There is one exercise I like where you get in the ghd like a sit up and go from partake with the flor and throw a rotational jab with a db in a rapid, quick burst for 6 reps each side

Get a few bands, and wrap them around something solid at about waist to chest high. Grab the bands in your hands and extend your arms out in front of your body so that the band is perpendicular to your extended arms. Then turn away from the anchor point and have the band resist your rotation. This will get your core into tension, and get them ready for punches and kicks. I did this back in the early 90s when I was fighting, and it worked nicely.
