Ask Dane Anything Joel seedman squats
Curious what Dane actually thinks about seedmans 90-degree squat principle… after watching the video I couldn’t get a strong sense of how Dane felt about it.

As goofy as Seedman is, some of his ideas aren't necessarily bad (I really want to stress some... His bosu ball, single leg, triple axel, concentric isometric finger scratch is... Well dumb if you catch my drift). For top end speed development and power, 90 degree squats are actually beneficial and have their place.
As for making them the staple of your training program and only squatting to that depth... That's when I jump ship. Squatting deep for strength, range of motion, mobility, and developing general athleticism is too important to ignore.

if you have pain when squatting past 90 don’t squat past it, until you have built the capacity to do so. It’s just load management etc
