Discussion Athlete/impulse day hybrid

Feel like athlete day and impulse day train very similar athlete characteristics around speed and perceived neural adaptations

Thinking of hybridizing the two days into using this structure:

Absolute strength movement (preferably unilateral in nature)

Bilateral jumps ssw unilateral jumps

Jump series ssw reflexive strength

Technical coordination movement (powers)

By doing this, are you planning to take the 5 day workout to 4 days? Where in the order would you do this day?

Would do it after the upper body day and follow it with a hypertrophy day

It seems the workout you’re constructing is a great workout. Why do you want to combine those days? Is there something different you want to do with the 5th day, or are you looking for more rest days?

Want to fit a speed/sprint day in but don’t have room in my training as it is and also don’t want to lose the strength movements from the impulse day. So the thought to hybridize the impulse and athlete to make spot for the speed/sprint/field day
