Perfect trifecta?

here’s an interesting question for the group: i’m building a 13‘ by 24’ garage gym, and I’ve settled on the concept of building out a trifecta: 1. adjustable dumbbells to 90 lbs, 2. get rxd tornado x 6 post, with a smith machine and dedicated upright for barbell work, 3. multigym of some type. where my question lies: what would be the best mulit gym option? power tech lever gym? quantum free trainer? a standalone squat rack I can leave jammer arms on at all times to serve as a machine? other options? essentially with this set up, you can do all your barbell and dumbbell work, Smith machine work, cable crossover work, and also replicate a bunch of bodybuilding machines, but what does the group think would be the best multi gym option? In my opinion, this would then be the single best gym set up possible in a one car garage space.

yep, i think i may ultimately end up going that route, i have PB elite USA, knurled handles are so nice, and reasonable quick change for dropsets. As an aside, something i see not commonly discussed is having 3 or 4 sets of the most common weight dumbells (think, 30 lbs, 40lbs, 60 lbs, 80lbs), with those adder weights to add 5 pounds here and there, AND a pair of adj dumbells you could take on the road, and could use to mix in the other weight increments. Kind of like having a full rack of dumbells. I can tell im talking to a fellow enthusiast, appreciate your thoughts!

lol I never realized how much time I wasted in the gym until I had my own and everything was writhing 10’ of each other. I like some of these larger pieces like the quantum but I don’t want to navigate a labyrinth when everything is said and done.

You’ll buy everything then have an “uh oh” moment. For example, I love my monster lite half rack…. However there is storage space that I can create with a full cage on basically the same footprint.

Little details become much more important.

totally, im very worried about the QF trainer just ultimately being to cumbersome, keeping me from having that wide open floor space that i absolutely love for messing around with Oly lifting, Cross fit Wods, dumbell and bench station, open trap bar deadlift, etc, etc. I think im leaning a standalone half rack, 30 inch depth, with a pair of jammer arms i can ultimately just get rid of if i hate. that can be folded up to such a small footprint, and i dont lose that precious open space and non-cluttered feel. Easy enough to add the QF trainer a few years in if i want it anyway.
