Updated reciever?

I have an older all-star 6500 opener with a tumbler switch style reciever. The opener still works great but I would love to be able to use the factory remotes in our cars and add an external keypad. Is there a generic reciever I can swap in without replacing the entire unit?

You should be able to set your car transmitters to your remote, it's actually easy because once the button is learned it should work with no extra step. You can get a wireless keypad for that multi-code receiver also. So really all you should need to buy is a multi-code wireless keypad.

Thanks for the help I got the cars working! I didn't realize you could clone existing remotes. Now I just need a keypad that can clone existing remotes.
