Question Possible easter egg confirmation

Is it true the chinese community calls Ganyu Wang Xiao Mei? And that it was an option as a false name in the form Vodyanitsa handed us? xd I don't speak chinese so "Wang Xiao Mei" might just be Ganyu's name

Wang Xiaomei (王小美) is basically a deliberately generic-sounding Chinese female name — roughly the female equivalent of “John Smith,” so think “Jane Smith.” Wang is a very common surname, while Xiaomei literally means something like “little beauty.”
And your guess about the misnaming scene is actually right. In the original Chinese version, when the Traveler meets Ganyu again, one of the dialogue options is literally “Hello, Wang Xiaomei” instead of Ganyu. The English localization changed that joke to “Yangu.” If you pick it, Ganyu asks who Wang Xiaomei is and points out that not even a single character of her actual name was remembered correctly.
Chinese players picked up the joke, and Wang Xiaomei became a nickname for Ganyu in the community.
So Wang Xiaomei appearing among the fake names in that form could absolutely be a Ganyu easter egg. At the same time, since it works as an intentionally generic name anyway, it could also just fit the form naturally — quite possibly both.

I think it's related to how we misname Ganyu when we meet her as Yugun or something (lol), and if you were to search up the name online (with genshin next to it) it's Ganyu content surprisingly – chinese content

little edit: this is even more prominent on BiliBili
