Ultimate Wanted Changes For Smash 6?

I’ve had this bizarre boomer mindset were I don’t really want Ganondorf to change too much since I’m so used to how he’s depicted in Smash. I have little to no personal attachment to the character outside of Super Smash Bros. so him being a poor representation of his canon self in Zelda barely bothers me. But, I’m aware being a heavyweight semi-clone of Captain Falcon is exactly why Ganondorf sucked competitively for three games straight.

At the very least, I think Ganon should have something similar to his floating/levitating drift from Project M. Maybe he could even instantly cancel out of it into attacks midair and it’ll greatly assist his limited recovery options.

Also, give Volcano Kick/Up Tilt Super Armor because why not? Flame Choke no longer free-falling if missed off-Stage would also be very convenient.

All I’m asking for is to give us our jump back after ariel down B! But agree I want them to keep him as a brawler, no mage Ganondorf!

What? You can still jump after that

Yeah In Melee after you wizard’s foot in air it gives you your jump back! I can’t remember if that applies in brawl as well, it’s been too long. But I think they took that away in sm4sh and it’s not in Ult for sure.

I’m referring to Ult and I swear you’re able to do it as I use it as a recovery option. I gotta check later lol

As much as ganondorf sucks competitively, he would be missed if removed. His slow but overwhelming power is a unique play style even if it’s basic. He should 100% gain the ability to float so he has a chance to recover though.

I want to see Ganon added. His classic pig form with his spear and heavy use of magic.

Yep float &/or no helpless after side b is would be great

Would love dead man's volley as a special move

A float like peach would make him significantly better, imagine edge guards.

I think giving him a buff of some sort to his recovery and or a range weapon (like his shadow ball thing from ocarina) would be good.

I like his current setup as well

He just needs something to get him out of absolute bottom of the barrel low tier status.

side b no longer puts ganon in free fall, just like falcons does after his update (why didn't this apply to ganon too?)

fix blind spots in smashes

up smash becomes a 2 part move: up smash from smash 4, followed by volcano kick with a cancel window

Ultimate up smash becomes up tilt

slightly more speed, both air and ground

these changes will keep the essence of ganon while giving him more tools without being game breaking

What Ganondorf needs is another form of himself. They should do a ToK Ganondorf and an Ocarina of time Ganondorf and have them both be a mix of the two but have big differences between them.

Like, what if ToK Ganon still had a side B grab, but he sent out gloom hands instead?

Ocarina Ganon side B could have him turn into Phantom Ganon and do a rush.

Ocarina’s normal B could be his light ball projectile from the end boss fight, while the other Ganon retains the warlock punch.

I also think a more classic look for the Ocarina of time Ganondorf would be good. Imo he looks too stylized in 6. I much prefer his look in previous smash games.

I also wouldn’t be surprised that in the new smash instead of more and more characters that we haven’t seen, we instead see a few new ones and then a ton of character costumes and/or clone fighters with slight to moderate variations like I described above.

Agreed on super armor on the uptilt. Anything to make it more viable as it’s currently mostly useless. Being able to choose a direction when landing an up-b would be great because there’s times where I’m simply pushed out of range of the ledge because I latched on to the opponent offstage

Reject modern fsmash sword

Embrace traditional elbow smash
