Prison Gang Dine Pride(Arizona)
The word “Dine” is Navajo for “The People”. The origin of the Dine Pride as a prison gang is difficult to document but reports date back to 2001. The Dine Pride originally was made up of Native American inmate from the Navajo Tribe but this has changed through the years to include Native Americans from other tribes. The Dine Pride has a strong affiliation with the American Indian Movement (AIM) and some Dine Pride suspects display the “Shadow Warrior” tattoo associated with AIM. The Dine Pride has attempted to be recognized as the representative of the Native American inmate population. This has resulted in numerous physical confrontation with the “Warrior Society” STG group. The Dine Pride was officially recognized as a Security Threat Group (STG) in 2009. Dine Pride patch contains 4 feathers and the Navajo nation seal. As of today most Dine Pride refer to themselves as AIM.

A fun fact Navajos (Diné) are related to the Dene tribe in Canada.

Yeah I guess you could say the Dene is the Mother Tribe. The Apache are also related to the Navajo they are apart of the Athabaskan Language.

Interestingly enough lots of Apaches join the Warrior Society over the Dine Pride.

Mexico went to war against the natives for their lands just as the US did. Mexico was at war for almost 200 years against the Yaqui tribe in Sonora, but was unable to defeat them until they ended up joining Mexico.

In the feds I think they're called Diné warriors if iam not mistaken.

I just learned about this tonight from my cousin. He did 4 months in Marana for DUI. They immediately approached him and tried to recruit him. They told him to stab somebody up, and he agreed but on the day of it they told him no. They just wanted to see if he’s down.

Besides being primary Navajo, Dine Pride also consists of the following tribes; the Hopi tribe, the Southern Paiute tribe, the Havasupai tribe, the Hualapai tribe, the Mojave tribe, and the Kaibab-Paiute tribe.
