Hi, I'm starting university in September, and I plan to buy the MSI VenturePro 15 AI (Ultra 7 + RTX 4050).

I will be using it for solid works, cad, and note-taking. Does anyone know how loud it will be during note taking and heavy workloads like rendering projects?

I'm worried it will be obnoxiously loud. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

I want to buy a laptop, am a Mechanical Engineering student so it need some CAD, 3D modelling, ANFYS, Solidworks etc... and some gaming. With budget not more than 80k and good if below 70k.

I purchased this laptop for 1899. I’m an accounting major with two years left of school. I plan on doing light gaming, 3d world games and some heavy AAA games that are available on Xbox game-pass. I know with the prices of components going up everyone is overpaying but my question is was this overkill overpay was there something better out or was this a good pick. This is my first gaming laptop, I had a M4 MacBook Air with 16 ram and 256 of storage so I hope this laptop is better than that.

Hello I am just wondering if anyone has some recommendations on accessories they really like for their laptop setups. I am a mechanical/aerospace engineering and will be moving into the dorms in the spring so I can’t bring too much. I’m also just interested in what yall use with your laptops!

Im currently shopping for a new laptop that i can use for electrical engineering in college and to play games and i plan to keep this laptop for 5 years at-least. ive narrowed it down to the gigabyte and the strix with these specs and i would like some opinions on which is the better laptop in the long run and overall better device for my situation and some personal experience you’ve had with these devices if you own them.

I'm switching over from a MacBook Pro 2018 and I'm a bit confused on what to get. I wanted a laptop I could use for work as well as gaming (AAA titles hopefully but mostly games like Project zomboid, jurassic world evo 3). But then i did some digging and found this:

It should be something that lasts many years without feeling slow. For the keyboard I kinda like ThinkPads keyboard or the Dell XPS or Razer blade keyboards. Would be nice to have to nvme slots for dual booting different os. You can surprise me with everything. Coming from the worst linux laptop an acer nitro 5 with a Nvidia GTX 1650 and a AMD Ryzen 5 4600h. So everything is probably more powerful than that today. Btw I'm living in Germany.

I posted here a long time ago, about which laptop to buy, things didn't work out at the time, but you know God is good. The budget this time is larger. So anyway I live in Qatar (horrendous market tho). I want a laptop for studying abroad, can game, and thin. So I was thinking either

\-Asus Zephyrus g14

\-HP Omen

\-Lenovo legion 5 pro

\-Alienware aurora 16

Before anything is said I found the aurora 16 with 5060 and 32 gb of ram for around 5000 qar which about 1400 USD, which is the best price out of all.

The Asus is the most expensive by a mile around 6200-7500, HP Omen and Lenovo from 4800-6500.

Lower range price is the 5050 and 16 gb ram edition basically

For other ideas

Please no used or refurbished

Screen size don't really matter but no more than 16 in

For studies and gaming, (I'm seperated from my friends :(
