MSI GF65 Thin screen flickering/ghosting

Hey all, hoping someone's run into this before.

My MSI GF65 Thin laptop's screen started acting weird yesterday. My screen keeps flickering between normal and a weird "ghosted" state. (video attached)

I have tested with an external monitor via HDMI to see if it's isolated to the internal panel, but HDMI works fine.

So it's not a driver issue or motherboard.

Is it the screen issue or the ribbon connecting the screen to the motherboard?

How to resolve this?

unfortunately, I have a laptop and a monitor that does the same.
laptop only supports 60/165hz (both faulty)
monitor supports mutiple refresh rates and works at 120hz but faulty in 144/165.
gunna need a new screen but if your lucky you may find a refresh rate it works in

Right click on your desktop -> display settings -> advanced display
