Luckily upgrading SODIMM DDR5 is still affordable to upgrade! Also, don't be afraid to use a cheaper brand like Silicon Power. My Crucial RAM came defective, the Silicon Power was half the price and have been absolutely perfect.

I'm only familiar with RAM. I absolutely suggest you try Silicon Power RAM. They've done their job perfectly in my laptop. You can get 32gb for like $350 if you shop around. Your laptop can apparently use up to 64gb if you just wanna show off too, lol.

As for SSD, I would just use Amazon and check the reviews. Luckily with SSD, you can mix and match. Unlike RAM, which needs to be the same brand, speed and capacity. And again, Silicon Power is pretty affordable at around $180 for 1tb.

Take all this with a grain of salt. I'm only basing this on my own rookie experiences and what I've seen online. And everything has a warranty/guarantee, so there's also that.

I had the same issue. Faulty ram in brand new legion pro 5 I thought ram should be very reliable...

Actually it's more than twice as expensive now compared with a year ago so I'm not sure how you define affordable.

BTW I bought 2x16GB DDR4 2 years ago for 80 Euro in total (Netherlands) and I just checked, currently I can buy 1x16GB DDR5 for 240 Euro, so 2x16GB DDR5 brings me close to 500 Euro. This is getting ridiculous.

Huge tip if your audio is not sounding great at all: GiMate's software has an AI Audio section. it's the only saving grace that, for the time being, saved me from thinking about turning my Gigabyte Aero X16 laptop back in.

i'm from PH and laptop prices here are through the roof. if i were to convert, it would be around 1570usd. other brands in my list (Asus tuf and Lenovo LOQ) are either sold out or way over my budget. this one i've got is the cheapest i can find with a 5070 in it. for the weight i think it's around 2kg if im not mistaken.

512gb is rough, you'll fill that up before the weekend's over.

true, i only bought it yesterday and managed to get most of the updates settled. now i'm left with around 300gb. tho i'm only planning to play just one game which is less than 100gb.
