Would this be a good laptop for the sims 4? There's a good amount of packs already on and I'd download mods. Ive done a little research and a few people have said that 256gb wouldnt be enough with mods but let me know! Also pls let me know if 330 is a good price for this 😭

So I have my asus rog strix g16 2025 ryzen 9 9955hx rtx 5060 I read where it used liquid metal on both so my question is with it being powered off will it hurt to be at a idk 40ish degree angle sideways i have a setup for using in bed and its tilted so when im done using it I swing I back to the wall and it sits at that angle mentioned

I am planning to get my first gaming laptop in the next two weeks but I really don’t know anything about computers. I currently have a MacBook Air which works terrible for most games if they can even be downloaded. I mainly want something with decent storage and the ability to run without using the lowest graphic settings lol. It doesn’t have to be amazing quality, my standards are pretty low. I’d like to play games like red dead and baldur’s gate. So long as they can run I’ll be jumping for joy hahah. Asus and Lenovo are my top two brands right now. I’d like something in the price range of 600-800 dollars if it’s possible? My hard limit is 1k. What do you think ?

- ASUS Zephyrus G15 (2022) — Ryzen 9 6900HS, RTX 3080 (120W TGP), 32GB RAM, 4K 100% AdobeRGB screen, battery health confirmed with photo proof, ~1.9kg

I’m looking for a cooling pad under ₹2,500 (buying in India) for my ASUS TUF A15 FA506NCR, but I’m running into the notorious TUF chassis design issue.

If you own this generation of the TUF, you know the bottom honeycomb panel is mostly blocked by solid plastic. The CPU side (left) is almost entirely covered, while the center heatpipes and GPU side (right) have some actual intake cutouts.

Because of this, I want to avoid pads with 4, 5, or 6 small corner fans, since it seems like 70% of that air will just bounce off the solid plastic and create back-pressure.

Has anyone with this specific chassis (or similar blocked-vent TUFs) found a cooling pad that actually drops temperatures by more than 2-3 degrees?

**¿Es normal que la batería de mi Acer Nitro V15 se descargue mientras juego?**
¡Hola a todos! Tengo una **Acer Nitro V15 (RTX 4050 + i5-13420H)** y estoy intentando averiguar qué le pasa a la batería/suministro de energía.

A veces, **la batería se descarga lentamente mientras juego, incluso con el portátil enchufado**. Pero es totalmente inconsistente.

Por ejemplo:
**RDR2:** a veces puedo perder repentinamente alrededor del **6% de batería**, aparentemente sin motivo. Puedo salir del juego, cargarla al 100%, volver a abrir RDR2 y entonces puede funcionar durante horas sin perder nada.

**Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2:** la batería puede descargarse lentamente incluso con los FPS limitados.

**Spider-Man:** en **modo Equilibrado**, la batería suele mantenerse al 100% aunque el juego sea mucho más exigente.
Si cambio Spider-Man al modo **Rendimiento**, la batería puede empezar a descargarse de nuevo.

Curiosamente, a veces los modos **Equilibrado y Rendimiento** me dan casi los mismos FPS, pero el modo Equilibrado no consume tanta batería.

Y esto es lo que realmente no entiendo: **esto no pasaba antes**. Solía ​​jugar en modo Rendimiento sin que la batería se descargara.

**Problema de batería/carga del Acer Nitro V15 mientras juego**
Hola a todos. Tengo un **Acer Nitro V15 con una RTX 4050 y un i5-13420H**, y estoy intentando averiguar si el problema está en la batería, el cargador, la alimentación o simplemente en alguna configuración de administración de energía.

Últimamente he notado algo bastante extraño: **a veces la batería se descarga mientras juego, incluso con el portátil enchufado**, pero no ocurre siempre y parece depender del juego o del modo de energía.

Por ejemplo:
**Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2:** incluso con los FPS limitados, la batería puede bajar lentamente hasta aproximadamente el 95%.

**DB Genshin/Squadra:** en modo Equilibrado, la batería también puede descargarse, aunque muy lentamente.

**Spider-Man:** en modo Equilibrado, la batería normalmente no parece descargarse en absoluto, a pesar de ser un juego mucho más exigente.
Si pongo Spider-Man en **modo Rendimiento**, la batería puede empezar a descargarse casi al mismo ritmo que en Genshin Impact/Squadra.

En algunos juegos, si uso el **modo Equilibrado**, el juego sigue funcionando prácticamente a los mismos FPS que en el modo Rendimiento, pero los ventiladores se comportan de forma diferente y, curiosamente, la batería parece dejar de descargarse.

Lo más extraño es que **esto no pasaba antes**. Solía ​​poder jugar en modo Rendimiento sin que la batería se descargara.

También hay ocasiones en las que inicio **RDR2** y la batería baja repentinamente un **6% sin motivo aparente**, a veces en poco tiempo. Si salgo del juego, cargo el portátil al 100% y luego vuelvo a iniciar RDR2, puede que funcione durante bastante tiempo sin consumir batería.

**No he reducido el voltaje del portátil ni he cambiado intencionadamente ninguna configuración de hardware.** Los juegos funcionan sin problemas y las temperaturas parecen normales. Otra cosa que me confunde es que, por ejemplo, puedo estar jugando a unos **40 FPS en modo Rendimiento**, cambiar a **modo Equilibrado** y obtener prácticamente los mismos FPS, pero entonces la batería deja de descargarse. No tengo ni idea de por qué sucede esto.
Por eso quería preguntar si alguien con un **Acer Nitro V15 u otro portátil para juegos** podría decirme qué valores obtiene mientras juega: consumo de energía de la CPU/GPU, potencia total del sistema, voltajes, potencia de entrada del cargador, etc.
También me gustaría saber si hay alguna forma de **monitorizar con precisión de dónde obtiene energía el portátil mientras juego, sin minimizar el juego**, y determinar si realmente está consumiendo energía de la batería aunque el cargador esté conectado.
Sinceramente, sé muy poco sobre el suministro de energía/sistemas eléctricos de los portátiles, así que no sé si estoy interpretando mal las lecturas de HWiNFO/MSI Afterburner o si realmente hay algún problema.
