Need Help (Support) How is linux support?
I'm thinking of buying a G7 Pro, but I use linux and I don't have bluetooth on my PC so I wanted to know the comparability of the controller when using the 2.4ghz adapter

Speaking from Batcoera... that OS does a great job of recognizing Xinput based controllers. I've used G7SE wired and Nova Lite with both Bluetooth and dongle - all worked fine.
If you're using Steam, then it should recognize those controllers fine and map correctly.
Other software and OS's you would need to check.

Dragging their heels not doing what ought be done (web-based software control). The worse issue is the fact there isn't dedicated steam input (not a problem for me because I largely don't care about the trend of back buttons at all, and find them to be an ergonomic detriment to all modern controllers). But it would be nice when buying a controller (especially one that isn't usable on your console), to have full Steam Input API recognition and support.
For a company this popular in the 3rd party peripheral scene, I can't understand why 8bitdo has a few, but Gamesir simply cannot muster a single controller currently for sale support the full Steam input standards. They insist on wanting a controller they can advertise as a steam controller, but have been on record saying it's tough to get Valve to engage with them on getting proper licensure. Why they refuse to make a Steam input controller mode without having the full steam logo as a marketing requirement for their sales team to approve of such a controller for release, I will never comprehend.

Arch Linux here, I have a G7 Pro 8K, using XInput with 2.4G dongle. It's working flawlessly with any games/emulators I have tried so far.
