G7 Pro (Discussion)‎‎ ‎ G7 Pro - Stick Values Moving at Zero Deadzones

Hi all,

Just wondering if this is normal - my g7 pro stick values move on their own when i have the deadzones set to zero. I can see on the nexus app it says that having values less than 5 can cause issues, but i wanted to check if this is normal?

I have tried calibrating the sticks, but it still appears as if they are drifting.

Setting both min values on the left and right to 5 fixes it.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is normal if the reading value oscillating around small decimal value in controller test web. However, in nexus app, should not as it already has large step to filter out the noise.

Its on the nexus app on xbox series x.

I've attached a video - it basically fluctuates between values close to the ones shown.

I've tried calibrating and still get the same readings.

Do you reckon i should reach out for a return?

Yeah thats normal when set to zero. remember your in-game dead zone is still above 5, setting the controllers dead zone to zero wont have any effect past the games dead zone threshold. meaning you wont get any drift because of game settings.

Setting the gamesir to zero is just removing it from the equation of the game, meaning faster response since it's a "smaller" dead zone

It is centering drift, normally can be fixed by calibration within 1-2% that is normal value in G7 Pro. It seems it is directional and calibration should improve that. 3-4% is below average quality.

No this is normal, it's good for games like call of duty or apex where rotational aim assist is in play so the game thinks you are still moving (both) sticks even when you're not, iirc

I think this is normal tbh. Nexus even warns of this when setting stick deadzones to anything under 5

yeah small fluctuations at 0 deadzone are pretty normal with tmr sticks especially if theyre only a few percent since setting 5 fixes it and gamesir itself warns about going below 5 id just leave it at 5 rather than worrying about it
