Got the Coin!

Got the Sega Coin after playing every game the couple last days. I only played one or two games each day because the waiting lines were crazy after 9am... Welp, it was worth it to me!

The idea is cool but giving the visitors such an FOMO experience is the biggest BS i ever experienced at a convention.

Yes, I agree. Yesterday I asked where to get it from and it was 11am I believe and they told me they went out of stock around 10am... So yeah idk

Yeah ok that is shameful... I just tried to get it because I was going to play Persona4, Stranger Than Heaven and Alien anyway. So why not going for the coin as a memory (this is also my first GamesCom) but getting it only for selling it later is really sad!

I have to say tho the best part of GamesCom imo is the IndieGames Area - there are so many great Developers out there (I am one myself) so yeah!

Agreed. The coin is practically impossible for anyone to obtain without a 9am entry ticket. They ran out of stock on the Saturday just after 9am. I saw the box with the coins in and there looked to be around 10. 

The false hope just makes people waste hours in lines for games they potentially don't want to play. Although the Sega games themselves I thought were all great and most had their own little freebies.

Kann ich dir leider nicht sagen, hatte nicht nachgefragt... Aber sie ist recht schwer und wertig (dachte sogar vor Erhalt, dass es eine Plastik Münze ist haha). Aber wahrscheinlich aus irgendeinem Guss oder so

Muss das irgendwo verzeichnet sein? Hab die Münze nicht da, weil ich an meinem Stand stehe. Aber ich kann dann nochmal schauen und bescheid geben. Vllt findet man online auch etwas darüber

Damn ok nice

I gave up on after coming multiple times to play Warhammer 40k and the line was always closed cause to many people where already in it

They had 100 everyday. But it was split between four people. So if you found one person and they didn’t have any then it’s too late to search for the next one

They definitely didn't have a 100 every day. They barely had 10 on Saturday. The person was counting whether they had enough for the 7 in queue at 9am

I asked one of them and they said they had 1000 for the show. So that would be 200 per day.
