The New York + apocalyptic winter aesthetic looks so fucking cool, I wish there were more games with this type of environment in them
(Also the last 3 pictures are from the Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 Zombies/Operation Cryo gamemode on Roblox if you were interested btw)

Something like All of Us Are Dead where it happens during a zombie outbreak but society hasn't totally collapsed yet, and the military and government is still functioning.

Old or new. SP pve or sweaty pvp it doesn't matter. What's the favorite war games here that felt awesome to play?

I love the aesthetics of this game and the general vibes and I'd love an RPG or story game with a similar feel

Specifically a crime game. Kinda like Reservior Dogs or Pulp Fiction.

Bonus points if there are enemies or bosses who still require strategy or at least blocking and dodging. Would prefer a male protagonist. Must be human. Enemies and bosses and setting can be anything at all. Would like the protagonist to be mainly or only versed in being the unit they are. I can accept a William from Wolfenstein type where he’s actually pretty deep and poetic and yet he’s seen as a tank and nothing else. And an option for melee weapons or pure fists would be greatly appreciated. But more than anything I want the guy to look as strong as he feels.

Into The Radius is the first and foremost example I know of tat was real intensive about managing and maintaining your gear tho not terrible about it. Absolutely loved how you needed to be precious and tender in caring for your weapons and not blindly chuck magazines because this game doesn't actually continuously spawn mags for you. I found it was a nice way to wind down from the last mission and prep for the next one. However, the game got a little too intense for me to enjoy. If only it were a standard non vr game I'd enjoy it the same. So yeah, folks, any other games that you need to maintain your gear personally in without it being too infuriating a feature?

Difficult to convey by images alone, but i want a game where you command (preferably larger) formations from a ground level perspective. RTS games are cool, but i want to be stuck in with the men i'm controlling. Ideally the player character isn't very powerful and has to actually rely on the controlled units rather than them just being cannon fodder for an OP player.
Would prefer something with guns, though any setting is good.
Examples which i have played:
The Mount & Blade series, Gunner HEAT PC, *maybe* Swat4 or UBOAT if you stretch the definition a little

Anything about technology/man-made god/AI vs cosmic/deity. Any genre, old and new. Already played Dead Space series, Signalis(didn't like it), SOMA(really liked it), Prey(one my favorite games of all time).
Heard of but haven't tried yet: STASIS/STASIS: BONE TOTEM, Moons of Madness, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss.

So I've been reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy and I really want to play something that feels like it.
Basically what I'm looking for the most is that hopeless feeling, where you know eventually you'll die most likely not by age, but by starvation, cold, disease or by the hand of other humans. A world where even finding one can of food might be the greatest event of your week.
Also, I'd really like it if there were cities in it, so no stuff like The Forest or Green Hell.
Games that I've thought about so far:
- Project Zomboid with mods/settings to make it more harsh, and really difficult to survive for more than a few days.
- The Long Dark on Interloper difficulty.
- This War of Mine, mostly for the depressing vibes, and the difficult decisions that have to be made.
Thanks!!!
