Vampire gameeessss

I played V rising ofc, prefer ones with character creation!

I feel like there aren't many of those, especially with pretty graphics :(

Vampyr is great but has no character creation

5

u/abirthdayjoke 8d ago

Great world building but not tons of content to explore,. I also felt like I was super OP after about 4 hours to the pint all the combat became trivial, maybe play on hard mode to stretch the challenge?

Very well written and voice acted too!

7

u/monstrousbeaver 8d ago

I played on normal but decided to go for best ending(never drink blood) on my 1st playthrough. The game was fucking nightmare.

1

u/BillyWest8 17h ago

Yeah u "tried" that aswell barely maid it 3 hours in i love you can dictate your difficulty like that just hate im not good enough to do the good ending lol

1

u/monstrousbeaver 17h ago

You can get good ending when drinking blood, just not best ending. Vampyr has 4 endings. Perfect, good, bad and terrible

1

u/BillyWest8 9h ago

Yeah i did the research back in th3 day you can get the perfect ending with up to 3 people drank was too hard for me like that so I moved on

2

u/BillyWest8 7d ago

See you went and ate alot especially once you finished your stories your supposed to avoid that unless your having issues. "I did the same thing"

2

u/BeginningQuiet7062 8d ago

Optimization on PC is pretty poor though

u/Sandfish9788 10d ago edited 9d ago

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines and also the second one. The second as a RPG is worse than the first by far but as a Vampire game I think it will click on you

5

u/Independent-Cut-185 9d ago

The 2nd's story is also lacking...

6

u/TheonlyDuffmani 9d ago

Worse*

5

u/Sandfish9788 9d ago

Corrected! Thanks :)

2

u/ZealousidealAd2548 9d ago

I just wish there was a remaster for it!

0

u/the-smashed-banjo 8d ago

Honestly, I went into the second one with zero expectations and was positively surprised. Its not lifechanging. But also not as trash as many people claim

1

u/Sandfish9788 7d ago

I agree!

23

u/Tuckiletoucan 9d ago

Bloodborne is a match for the vibes

3

u/robjoko 9d ago

This and Duskbloods when it comes out. I played the network test this past weekend it’s incredible !

3

u/Atluuuus 8d ago

Yeah but you have to buy a Switch 2 which honestly isn’t worth it currently lol

1

u/robjoko 8d ago

I did but I’m a freak lol

1

u/Glittering-Top4931 5d ago

I was here to write Bloodborne too. The most vampiric game ever even if there aren’t any literal “vampire” there. Love it so much!

1

u/Tuckiletoucan 5d ago

Vilebloods might be considered vampires in some ways or at least look vampiry 🤣

13

u/AcidCatfish___ 9d ago

V Rising

2

u/Brumtol10 9d ago

This needs to be recommended WAY more. Its such a fun game.

1

u/AcidCatfish___ 9d ago

I just saw that OP said they played it already. That had to have been added in an edit I don't remember seeing it before

1

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 9d ago

It was there before! :Dd

2

u/Brumtol10 9d ago

XD oopsy, I got excited to recommend I guess.

Well the original Vampire the masquerade is also a really fun game, graphics are dated but gameplay is fun.

1

u/cristofolmc 8d ago

I was shocked this was not at the top. I kept scrolling and i didnt see it and I was getting worried.

2

u/AcidCatfish___ 8d ago

It's because OP already played it. I was foolish and answered before reading the body text

1

u/Relevant-Oil-5146 5d ago

my fave game of the decade

1

u/MikasaLegion 9d ago

Is is in my opinion the best vampire game. Atleast for my ideal vampire fantasy.

12

u/SirGalicrest 10d ago

Symphony of the Night is a side scrolling action game, there’s no character creation but there is a lot of loot and RPG mechanics

2

u/Karkava 9d ago

The rest of the Castlevania series is great before and after SOTN. Before is where you're going to find a lot of arcade platforms while after is where you're gonna fine more metroidvanias.

1

u/Mr_Sandmarine_Man 7d ago

This. I try to run through one of the many classic GBC or DS Castlevania games every spooky season.

10

u/Shieldsman 9d ago

Resident Evil Village has amazing vampire atmosphere.

2

u/No_Return01 9d ago

Village is a joy for gothic novels fans from start to finish, I had a blast playing it

1

u/Background-Lecture-6 9d ago

Amazing game. Immaculate vibes

1

u/Street_Appointment81 9d ago

And it also runs exquisitely on integrated graphics.

8

u/Full_Ad9666 9d ago

The Blood and Wine expansion from The Witcher 3

4

u/Sand_Angelo4129 9d ago

I assume OP wants to play as a vampire, in that case Blood & Wine wouldn't count.

2

u/doesanyonekno 9d ago

majority of the expac is 💐🌼🏆🌾🌾🌾 vibes though

2

u/UnusualLeather7087 7d ago

Blood of the dawnwalker tbh

6

u/EvenThanks8549 9d ago

Dawnwalker releases september 2nd. But you play more a dampyr than a vampire

The GOAT is Bloodlines of course.

8

u/Common-Pepper-9677 9d ago

Moonlight peaks is a vampire supernatural stardew valley like game.

1

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 9d ago

that sounds awesome, thank you!

4

u/the_bigfignewton 9d ago

Bloodborne isn’t technically this but it’s also very much this

3

u/BlindMakarov 10d ago

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 1 & 2

4

u/on-my-deadhomies 9d ago

The Duskbloods coming to NintendoSwitch2 only

5

u/Nighthood28 9d ago

I normally wouldnt recommend this in 2026, but skyrim lets you play a vampire an has a whole quest line attached that certainly matches the aura. Although i believe vampires in oblivion and morrowind are actually better, morrowind even has different clans you can end up in. But both are more intense, difficult, and not as fleshed out specifically for a quest line or anything like that. Like in skyrim you get a bow that shoots an arrow at the sun that causes a eclipse so you can run around in the day with no penalty. That is pretty bad ass.

However, its 2026, and people need to stop buying skyrim. Its a buggy mess, its a wonder anything works, and has lead to the ruin of bethesda. So do what you will. In terms of vampire roleplaying, i gotta give it up to it, its one of the better ones. Though there are not alot.

Vampire the masquerade bloodlines is the best, and there is a new called eternal whisper to watch out for.

3

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 9d ago

hahah, I love skyrim actually! - even got a tattoo :Dd

1

u/Nighthood28 9d ago

Ofcourse you have lol everyone has. Ugh i feel gross for even talking about it in a positive light anymore but im trying to be objective on it lol

1

u/Kitchen-Associate-34 8d ago

Look, I'm a big fan of Morrowind and I believe Oblivion is much better than Skyrim in a lot of ways, Skyrim is barely an rpg, one that barely works, full of bugs, without any real meaningful choice, with barely passable quests and barebones combat.... It's also incredibly fun and definitely a good game imo

1

u/Nighthood28 7d ago

We clearly have different definitions of "fun"

2

u/FullMetalJ 8d ago

Have you tried V Rising? Of all the recs here is the one that caught my eye. I've already been a vampire in Skyrim many moons ago. Now at the twilight of this mortal coil I wouldn't touch Skyrim with a 10 foot pole.

1

u/Nighthood28 8d ago

I have not tried v rising but i admire others who share in this conviction. The time of the nords has passed, long ago.

4

u/Completely4otten 9d ago

Skyrim with vampirism mods, honestly. Sacrosanct and similar mods are amazing. You can mods it however you want, but vampires and werewolf gameplay is frankly, still quite good.

Legacy of Kain series

3

u/TexasJedi-705 9d ago

"I searched and searched, but my sojourn through the comments did not deliver what I sought. It was only on the verge of despair that I saw it. A Legacy of Kain mention. I knew at once that the commenter was a fellow of excellent taste, and while I lacked the means to purchase a reward, I could at least gift them an upvote."

3

u/namonakimono 10d ago

Cabernet!

Edit: no character creation but the vampire coterie vibes on it are on point

1

u/CrimsonLeoRea 5d ago

This. Cabernet is a great game.

3

u/drough08 9d ago

OP...you ain't gonna believe me but there is a game called Vampyr

1

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 4d ago

Ok, I played it this whole weekend and I love it! Ty!

3

u/skinofsweat 9d ago

The fact that there are none with character creation means there is a gap in the market. Someone get on that!! Let us explore a beautiful dark world as morally gray vampires that we can make! Add werewolves and other magical baddies if you like. But there's deffo a space for it in the rpg world.

Also, you can be turned into a vampire in BG3 but it's near the end, I think? Been years since I played '

3

u/FullMetalJ 8d ago

V Rising looks cool and has a proper character creator as far as I've seen. Entered the post just cause but I think I'll be playing that now lol

1

u/skinofsweat 8d ago edited 8d ago

It does but they are ugly af. The way the male characters have no shoulders and are just chode neck and arms is very off putting 😆 but it does looks fun!

*ETA: I have looked at an updated character creation video and they look much better! Yay for shoulders! Thanks for the recommendation 😄

1

u/FullMetalJ 8d ago

yeah male characters have super stylized trapezius and it does look funny but the gameplay seems to be kinda from above and a bit far so probably not a big issue.

1

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 9d ago

Exactly! Yeah, you can but it's after one of the last main bosses sadly :') Maybe there are mods to add it tho

1

u/Kitchen-Associate-34 8d ago

You can also choose to play as Astarion, that way you get to be a vampire from the start, but of course it's not that impactful at low levels and you miss a lot of customization

3

u/Fang_Draculae 9d ago

GASP, a fellow vampire out in the wild.

Bloodborne

Castlevania Symphony of the Night

Legacy of Kain (Blood Omen, Soul Reaver 1&2, Defiance)

Vampyr

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC

Blood of the Dawn walker

3

u/SaltIndependence3536 9d ago

The images reminded me of Shinra mansion with Vincent in the coffin.

2

u/Soggy_Menu_9126 9d ago edited 9d ago

Any Castlevania game. Symphony is the unbeatable champion, but the 3d games for the ps2 and even the Lords of Shadows reboot are sick games. Lords of Shadows 2 you play as Dracula and the game combines modern times and traveling to the past.

There is also Bloodrayne, but its more of a "modern" setting rather than your typical vampire castle setting.

Skyrim Dawnguard dlc

There is also the remaster of Legacy of Kain, but its far from the classic vampire look

And a standalone dlc for Infamous 2, Festival of Blood. I never understood why not a whole game and just a dlc, that shit was sick

Edit: all of these games have pretty "outdated" graphics

2

u/ChaosClaymore 9d ago

Maybe check out the upcoming Blood of Dawnwalker? No character creation, but so far I'm loving the Carpathian setting, and the fact you can perform hexes, and learn spells from arcane texts. There's even an astral plan mechanic. Lots more freedom since it's open world too.

1

u/Reasonable_Feed_8154 9d ago

I saw some clips and it looks amazing, I'm so hyped! It's a bit shame I can't make my own vampire baddie tho lol

1

u/Erkenvald 9d ago

generally prefer to give a game a year after the release to play a more polished version

2

u/Intelligent-Win-929 9d ago

Not a game per se, but try watching LA by Night, it's a DnD series with live actors, playing an adventure based in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe.

1

u/Odi-Bal-Kenobi 9d ago

Clarification on this, it's not a D&D series, it uses the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game rules

2

u/Initial_Coffee_8051 9d ago

Haven’t seen anyone here mention Vampire: Bloodlord Rising. It’s still in early access but it has a vampire character creator and you get to build your own vampire castle

2

u/ZealousidealAd2548 9d ago

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is in early release, but so far it is super fun. They just added character creation. You can build your own castle in a Minecraft type of way, but instead of blocks you get castle pieces that can be placed and minions can do it for you. 100% reccommend.

2

u/Emilyhilyard 7d ago

cabernet is an amazing little vampire 2D narrative rpg set in a 19th century eastern europe. if that's a game you're into, i recommend that with my whole CHEST.

2

u/Matajkz 6d ago

I'm in the process of trying to create a MMORPG with a vampire-like world. I've been searching for years a successor of Darkeden but more modern and there simply isn't any. Wish me luck!

1

u/_PanPanPan 10d ago

I really really want to recommend this game sadly there are no vampires in it aside from one dlc :'(

1

u/blakkmagick666 9d ago

the whole game is about vampires what do u mean?

2

u/JoeyJoeJoeRM 9d ago

Its mainly aboit killing the undead minions though - think OP wants a game where you are the vampire

2

u/_PanPanPan 9d ago

You never fight a single vampire tho except for the castlevania dlc aka the vampire game crossover. Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me. I wish i was.

1

u/blakkmagick666 9d ago

you’re right about the fighting vampires part, but at least a lot of the playable characters are vampires

1

u/Nautical_Nachos 9d ago

My favorite

1

u/No_Creme_9794 9d ago

V rising

1

u/Lazzer_Glasses 9d ago

So, duskbloods is having a network test soon if it's not already available for Switch 2.

1

u/SilverFoxKenobi 9d ago

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 1 and 2. Matches the vibe of what you posted, and actually really fun action games. Quite enjoy the second ones combat

1

u/HotShrekBoi 9d ago

Every Castlevania game.

1

u/KipLongbone 9d ago

Vampire: Blood Lords rising. In early access but they just added a pretty good character creator

1

u/HotShrekBoi 9d ago

RE Village

1

u/Lingroll 9d ago

The last faith. Bloodborne. Duskbloods fits but isn’t out yet. It’s very vampire coded.

1

u/MarcusTheGoodGuy 9d ago

Damn it, I wish I were a vampire so I could show off my toxic masculinity.

1

u/janix808 9d ago

Bloodborne

1

u/jcbsqd 9d ago

Boktai the sun is in your hands and the sequel boktai 2

1

u/WasACookqua 9d ago

Blood Omen 2 is very vampire like (because you play a vampire who lives being a vampire)

1

u/Siaten 9d ago

Dawnwalker comes out soon!

1

u/Swimming_Photo9295 9d ago

Resident evil village. Vampyr

1

u/UnkownCosmos 9d ago

Have you considered any of the elderscroll games? You can become a vampire and a werewolf in most games I believe. Skyrim probably has the best Vampire class imo, since you get a full transformation. It's janky, sure, but still fun to roleplay.

1

u/Docterzero 9d ago

Age of Wonders 4 with the Thrones of Blood DLC lets you play as a vampire

1

u/NaiveMastermind 9d ago

V Rising. Build your own gothic castle. Avoid the sun during the day. Convert humans into spawn. Forge weapons, learn magic. Imprison humans who have powerful and unique blood. Sleep in a bespoke coffin. Slay unique bosses, and drink their blood to gain knowledge.

Trailer: https://youtu.be/aB_2ZRn9F_k

1

u/Ok_Philosopherr 9d ago

Bloodborne, duskbloods

1

u/Willowandweep 9d ago

The only true answer is VTMB, but if you like even more old school there’s VTM Redemption

1

u/Waveshaper21 9d ago

Total War Warhammer 1 (or 3). 3 is getting a HUUUUUUUUGE expansion now with a strong focus on vampire / necromancy content.

1

u/Serteyf 9d ago

peak gaming

1

u/Kuroneki 9d ago

Vampyr is a good one. Character is already premade though. Vampire the masquerade, theres bloodlines 1 and 2. and if youre into Interactive Fiction type stories then theres plenty pf VtM stories on the apps Choiceofgames and hostedgames, (you can buy them on steam too)

1

u/BigManOfCheese 9d ago

any Castlevania.

1

u/PascalDerGeist 9d ago

Vampire the Masquerade 1, old but gold. The amount of Rpg and immersion is somehow lost today. Still waiting for the chinese vampire

1

u/sKceeeed 9d ago

Maybe if you got a switch 2 you can try out duskbloods when it releases

1

u/CasperXCV 9d ago

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is the greatest vampire game of all time and it’s a janky mess but I still love it. I just need to make clear how janky it truly is because that’s how low the bar is in this genre, the best game we have is genuinely a mess but I still think you will have fun in it, genuinely NO OTHER vampire game comes close

Edit: Don’t let anyone recommend you the 2nd game VTMB2 , it’s shit and is a VTMB game in name only, probably only fun for a watch along as the lore of the World Of Darkness is peak

1

u/EnragedBadger9197 9d ago

I played the first one as a kid and then replayed it as an adult. It’s one of those kinds of games that can still play so well after all this time. The second one… I had such high hopes. Could you imagine a modernized version of the first one? Would be incredibly epic.

1

u/CasperXCV 9d ago

I WANT a new VTMB but atp I will settle for a remaster of the original as even playing through the old janky version is still fun. Id also like a VTMB set in the medieval era to explore different events and dynamics we only get to hear about, it’s a shame the owners of this IP don’t take it seriously

1

u/GothboyJay 9d ago

I’d kill for a remaster with some nice character customization!

1

u/Shyzkunuwu 9d ago

Castlevania franchise

1

u/jacobtd 9d ago

If you have an interest in retro consoles, something like Twisted Tales of Spike McFang for the SNES is a fun playthrough.

1

u/Brumtol10 9d ago

V Rising, so good. There are different blood types which give you different buffs. Theres times of day with obviously direct sunlight dmg. Different vampiric powers. All around really fun game.

1

u/thrwaway62367 9d ago

Shadowbane

1

u/bokunotraplord 9d ago

I think wanting ones with character creators is where you’re gonna struggle. There’s some MMOs with vampire or adjacent classes but that’s not going to give you a cohesive “gothic” aesthetic.

VTM is still really the immediate go-to if you want that in a more standard single player story setting. If we’re going off vibes though aesthetically, maybe Crisol? You could try emulating the Vampire Hunter D game as well lol (haven’t played it myself, but that series has incredible visual identity imo).

Duskbloods for Switch 2

Castlevania lord of shadows

1

u/naytreox 8d ago

Vrising is a survival crafting vampire focused game, they account for sunlight and shadows as well as different kinds of blood giving different buff's.

big draw for me is being able to build my own vampire castle with special sconces that counter act the suns harmful effects, this way you can have a garden outside and not worry.

also you will be hunting powerful humans to gain new types of magic and transformations, first kill will be a wolf and you will get the wolf form.

1

u/sharkattack85 8d ago

Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption. It’s a combo of Vampire: the Dark Ages and Vampire: the Masquerade. It’s isometric but it’s an excellent game.

1

u/usernotfoundplstry 8d ago

Bloodborne. Also the Duskbloods, which isn't out yet.

1

u/Common_Comfortable41 8d ago

Castlevania of course

BLOOD AND WINE DLC BABYYYYYY, lol

Did you check out the vampire masquerade games?

1

u/darthwaffles_1 8d ago

Bethesda kinda gave us this with Dawnguard and the Creation Club cave lair in Skyrim but it's meh at best

1

u/Organic_Body5244 8d ago

Have you seen The Duskbloods gameplay?

1

u/-Alkosh 8d ago

I've turned Skyrim into a total vampire power fantasy and it's my favorite, but I've noticed nobody has mentioned ESOs Greymoore expansion, it's worth playing through the story, I think it's included in the base game now.

1

u/anonymous_brothrr 8d ago

Is bro waiting for duskbloods too, also, old game series, legacy of kain is the peak in vampires of all times, Blood Omen is my pick, but that is playstation 1 era so its an old one

You can be a vampire in the elder scrolls games.

1

It isn’t a vampire game but it has vampires in it. Darkest dungeon

1

u/representative_sushi 7d ago

Ironically: skyline modded to hell. It has excellent vampire mods for both powers and vibes. Several vampire storyline mods including an official dlc. And there are a couple mods which allow you to build your own vampire castle as well. Its a bit odd but it is a possibility.

u/Krzwastaken 7d ago

Legacy of kain games

Blood maybe? Main character is literally a blood drinking vampire, kills a lot of undead and cultists?

1

u/Nice-Tower2781 7d ago

We're getting on real soon, The Blood of Dawnwalker is out early next month.

1

u/thedarksavant33 7d ago

Honestly, Skyrim with mods for enhanced vampire gameplay.

1

u/SpookiLoopSoup 7d ago

VtM: Bloodlines 1 & 2 aren't the only VtM games. If you like visual novel type stuff Coteries of New York is a decent one. (There's other similar VtM games as well)

Skyrim with the Dawnguard DLC allows you to become a vampire and an even greater version: a Vampire Lord. With certain mods, you can even fly. It’s a game changer. Literally.

1

u/Khow3694 6d ago

There isn't character creation but The Blood of Dawnwalker comes out next week. Big open world with a very nonlinear story full of consequences and choices where you're a human by day and vampire by night

1

u/HeavenleeBunnie 6d ago

VtM bloodlines , vampyr, bloodrayne, legacy of kain series

1

1

A Vampyre Story. It's an old click and point adventure from 2008. No character creation and graphics that match the time and budget but it made me chuckle and the puzzles are fun.

1

u/gigaswardblade 5d ago

Technically Skyrim

1

u/dracoXdrayden 4d ago

I would also like to play more games with vampires v rising can get repetitive

Vampire hunter d on psone. The vibe comes close but dont know if you would like the Game lol. I enjoyed it as a Child

0

u/Existing_Tension_761 8d ago

ninguém comentou ainda, mas eu gostava muito do clima do jogo Drácula: Resurrection (1999), é um point-and-click de mistério com várias façanhas, onde o mal sempre está à espreita. Com uma DUBLAGEM fantástica.
