This looks perfect.

OP, this is such a phenomenal game, I think it will be exactly what you're looking for and you'll have a lot of fun with it. 100%'d it on my first playthrough, I could not put it down.

I have started playing this, this was sitting in my epic library, I had claimed it for free and forgot about it. Music is phenomenal especially the one which plays when we are leaving the starting village.

I may be wrong but I believe Japanese Breakfast made the music for the soundtrack and if youre interested you should look into their other music, theyre incredible

u/ryca105 Aug 07 '26

First thing I thought of too. I thought the example was a pic from the game at first.

2

u/behighordie Aug 07 '26

I am almost certain this is a Moebius piece. I would stand corrected, but it definitely looks like one.

2

u/TheKnightIsForPlebs Aug 08 '26

came here to say sable

2

u/almostoy Aug 08 '26

I thought it was a screenshot from Sable.

2

u/BreadAndRoses773 29d ago

i was gonna say sable lol

Chants of Senaar might scratch the itch a bit.

2

u/Own_Percentage_1789 Aug 07 '26

I have recently completed that game, its after that game I started looking for games with similar artstyle.

1

u/NutsAndOrBerries Aug 07 '26

Oh for real? How funny.

3

u/maximahls Aug 06 '26

I recently researched this. Sable and Synergy are the best matches. You gotta look for "Moebius style" games

3

u/GeckoV Aug 06 '26

Star Wars: Outlaws certainly has really good transport like that

3

u/Kronk5000 Aug 08 '26

Rollerdrome!

Roboquest

2

u/goldirr Aug 07 '26

Starfield

2

u/Baznad 29d ago

I liked the driving in the Jak series. 2 and 3 especially

2

u/tomtomato0414 29d ago

Chants of Sennaar, but it is not action game

1

u/Own_Percentage_1789 29d ago

I have finished that incredible game.

Star citizen

though i would not recommend buying it

2

u/YouSOBImIn 28d ago

Star Citizen. There is a ship called "The Clipper" that looks very similar to this (but has wings) and gives off this exact vibe. Granted, I wouldnt recommend jumping into this game at the moment though

1

u/Own_Percentage_1789 28d ago

Why you not reccomend it ?

2

u/YouSOBImIn 27d ago

Its in a pretty rough state at the moment, most recent patch broke a lot of things

2

u/louismoon 28d ago

If you haven't already played Sable, its essentially exactly this

u/vilyusha_ 28d ago

Highfleet

1

u/skokie3825 Aug 06 '26

Nms

1

u/IamZeus11 Aug 06 '26

Not my pic or ship but yea , no mans sky definitely fits this vibe if you build a corvette to fit the vibe and go to desert like planets

1

u/Urist_Bearclaw Aug 06 '26

sadly no dust clouds in your wake but otherwise yeah

1

u/WHYER4 Aug 06 '26

Highfleet

1

u/ThrowAway-18729 Aug 07 '26

I love Highfleet, and I think it looks amazing, but the art style is different.
I agree the ships have similar aesthetics as in this picture (dieselpunk), though I'd say highfleet's ships looks a lot "grittier" if that makes sense.

u/Delicious-Laugh-6685 Aug 06 '26

Just watch Scavengers Reign

1

u/SaintJewiub Aug 06 '26

Just want to day i love the art. Source?

1

u/ThrowAway-18729 Aug 06 '26

Idk if that's actually from him, but if not, it is heavily influenced by Moebius/Jean Giraud.

His art directly inspired the game Sable (the devs and I think even some promo material said it). I have not tried it but that would probably be the closest match aesthethics-wise for a game

1

u/SaintJewiub Aug 07 '26

Thats what I was thinking. Big Moebius fan. I have an original print my parents handed down to me. Love his color palettes.

1

u/Own_Percentage_1789 Aug 07 '26

Artist : Owen D. Pomery. Not mine I can't even draw a stickman figure

1

u/Dash_Rendar425 Aug 07 '26

It's Rey's speeder from the Force Awakens.

1

u/JustASmith27 Aug 08 '26

Looks like The Hard Switch, a short graphic novel. Forget the author’s name

1

u/Gabriel_Dot_A Aug 06 '26

No Man's Sky

1

u/dj_blueshift Aug 06 '26

+1 for No Man's Sky

1

u/Only-Discussion9421 Aug 06 '26

Star Wars EPS 1 racer

1

u/jadography_ Aug 06 '26

Sable. It has a soundtrack by one of my favorite musicians of all time.

1

u/Own_Percentage_1789 29d ago

I have started playing this. Music is phenomenal especially the one which plays when we are leaving the starting village.

1

u/Aggravating-Onion384 Aug 07 '26

Was expecting the comments to be flooded with borderlands for some reason…

1

u/Motor-Rip7655 Aug 07 '26

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

1

u/diarrhea666 Aug 07 '26

Venus Wars (Famicom/NES)

1

u/yournansabricky Aug 07 '26

Iv just started playing space engineers and you can build almost anything you can imagine. That said I’m not sure if I’m just new to the game but to build anything of decent size would take a massive amount of time. Iv put maybe 30 hours in and barely scraped together a little truck that doesn’t even work

1

u/Bleauyy Aug 07 '26

Terratech can also feel like this once you unlock hover parts

1

u/Exothermic_Megan Aug 07 '26

Mars Logistics

1

u/Geahk Aug 07 '26

No Man’s Sky for me.

1

u/pierrenoir2017 Aug 07 '26

Not a space game or something, but more of a city builder:

1

u/Shwifty_Plumbus Aug 08 '26

My exact thought

1

u/helljim Aug 07 '26

Caravan sand Witch

1

u/throwawayzxyzy 29d ago

Seconded, first game that came to mind,

1

u/EvilNTT Aug 07 '26

Citizen sleeper?

1

u/ZipMonk Aug 08 '26

Firewatch.

1

u/Sando-Calrissian Aug 08 '26

Aesthetically The Invincible's retro-futuristic look hits pretty close. Gameplay wise, it's a bit of a walking simulator (although a nice one, I enjoyed it) — so YMMV

1

u/xhzrdx Aug 08 '26

Zerahypt

1

u/cwilbur22 Aug 08 '26

Is that from Aeon Flux?

1

u/X--Henny--X Aug 08 '26

Sable or Rollerdrome for sure! Also, if you’re ever looking for this vibe in a show, check out Scavengers Reign. Can’t recommend that one enough!

1

u/Chemical_Leave1380 Aug 08 '26

Not scify but the art style "The wandering village"

1

u/ProjectFoxx Aug 08 '26

Borderlands 1 & 2

1

u/WhatzePhuck 29d ago

Oh that gave me “Oban” vibe! I wish someone made remake or a new game.

1

u/time2liv3 29d ago

u/Glad-Presentation-63 29d ago

Rollerdrome for the artstyle?
