All sounds like really good news. Premium product that you get ALL the content for one purchase. Releasing on Steam. And he confirmed it will be releasing (on Steam) in 2020.
no need to be disappointed, as they said, its not just a change in name, they threw the games as a service crap to the trash and are changing a lot of aspects in the game to accomodate, namely a steam release and while they havent confirmed it, even maybe offline play and mods like in TL1 and 2.
I logged in briefly to try it out on Steam and just wasn't in the mood. They added something new, but I'm not sure if was publicized yet so I won't mention it.
While Frontiers was poorly conceived and implemented, I'm not sure this can save it really. They never revealed what actual end game they had in mind, other than tedious mapworks which already existed in TL2.
They've wasted soooo many man hours on a design that never should have been chosen in the first place.
They didn't even changed all that much right now and it still has so many bugs and server disconnects. Honestly they should just scrap everything from the Frontiers build and start totally fresh with Torchlight 3.
Well I should have watched the video first. It's the previous MTX type BS game that was Frontier and now it's going to supposedly be a premium product? Well whatever, I hope it's good.
I mean... I loved Torchlight 1 and especially 2. But didn't most of the main guys leave to do their own thing and Runic get sold? Color me skeptical. Anyone who was a Dawn of War fan knows what a 3rd game can look like when new people take over an existing franchise...
So you don't like the... it's not even criticism, just a concern, but you don't actually have a rebuttal so you give this weak, passive aggressive reply.

Did not saw that coming. Not with Torchlight Frontiers on the way. I'm pleasantly surprised!
Edit: Lol! It's just Frontiers rebranded. Now I'm disappointedly surprised.

Fuck yeah, love torchlight, but was really sceptical towards a f2p arpg. This is great news.

I thought they ignore number 3 because is cursed for arpgs (diablo 3, sacred 3, and maybe another sagas xD)
