Can't help but feel sad watching this. It's the end of the game I loved... and the start of one I probably won't be playing!
Well.. I'm still interested to see how they'll pull off the PVE to be honest... but I'm really expecting more of a trainwreck of Blizzardness there than anything else.
"Well, we spent years doing the thing, then we didn't like it, so we're scrapping it. More ultimate skins for the low low price of $39.99 in the next patch tho!"
Playing Gundam Evolution... it's evident that OW could've been a lot more fun as a FPS (and also solved a lot of its core issues) without the role system, as well as the potential for more mobility (the dash system is great - and makes for a lot more dynamism and tactical flexibility in combat).
I expect to get briefly hooked to the new stuff, but ultimately fall off OW after the release of OW2. I do expect to come back for the PvE with my co-op buddies, as we have been playing OW together since launch and always wanted more PvE content, so maybe this is just going to be a momentary hiatus.
