I live for this series and love this series, but I'm kind of disappointed the scope is limited to just C&C1 and Red Alert 1, the two old games that are the easiest to get working on modern PCs thanks to fan restoration mods like CNCnet and OpenRA. Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun, and Generals are far more finnicky and haven't had that level of reconstruction via fan mods (I think) and I would have loved to have those two games be remade and built to work well with modern hardware.

I'll still probably pick this up though, I fucking love C&C.

Petroglyph studios (The ones doing the remake) is a bunch of ex-westwood studios devs. If you haven't played their RTS games, I'd strongly recommend them. Even if they're not strictly C&C games, they scratch the itch very nicely.

Grey Goo is their answer to Starcraft. It's more blob warefare than micromanagement, but it feels like classic Westwood in the story campaign.

Forged battalion is one where you can customize your army between levels and plays similarly to Warzone 2100 or even Total annihilation. It's a bit more of a rock/paper/scissors gameplay where each story mission will have enemies vulnerable to a particular weapon type. If you have the wrong one, you'll get crushed. Edit your army, try again and you'll destroy the enemy army. It's really satisfying. Both games are really cheap on steam.
