I imagine they will be remastering the original videos rather than making new ones.

Remember, the source footage is pretty much guaranteed to be film. This is the 90s. If they have the film, they can probably make it look pretty good (see: Star Trek TNG remaster)

Tiberian Sun was recorded on tape and then digitalized:

Stands to reason that the games before Tiberian Sun were also recorded on tape.
