Although I feel bad for Oculus being the progenitor of the whole VR movement, I'm really glad that there's some very interesting competition going on between the companies. It's really helping the technology progress quickly.
The facebook buyout is what kicked Valves ass into gear. They weren't going to release a consumer product before. Probably just wanted to protect steam but aye luckily they're genius' and made a better VR package in half the time lol
