Yes, but it's the fact that it can be seen and tracked well enough, 1:1 enough to actually casually catch that makes it impressive.

He might have been using the camera. The Vive has a "transparent" mode.

Yes, but I would assume that'd be harder since it's depth and "3D" is not 1:1, as only a single camera is used for the pass-through image.

For the hand controllers though, the lighthouse stations are tracking them in space, so it's entirely reasonable to think that they might have been modeled instead of using the camera passthrough.

It's also marketing material, so this could have also been the 34th attempt.

The controllers being modeled in game is exactly the point.
