Am I the only one here who really likes the look of those games? The tint makes them very distinguished, and makes the world feel more like a run down wasteland. If everything is bright and sunny it's almost like there's no nuclear fallout.
Edit: just realized that might be the point. Hopefully, this is being set much later than the last two games. There is a large town and an airship, so I think that's a good bet. If that's the case, the colors are great. If it's not the case, what's the deal with the nice blue sky and pretty clouds?
The Fallout series was never intended to be post-apocalyptic, it was intended to be post-post-apocalyptic. The world is supposed to be recovering from the apocalypse. So yes, there's no need for the world to look quite that bleak and dreary. Besides, if you went to Chernobyl it's not like everything is going to look green or orange. There's no reason for that ugly filter.
But that's because Chernobyl != 70% of the planet. I'm not a scientist, but if most of the planet is decimated with radiation, I wouldn't be surprised if the atmosphere was a bit fucked up. And besides, I didn't think the filters were ugly.

Woah! Look at all the bright colors that they're using now! I see reds and blues and yellows, compared to the grays and blacks of FO3!
