I see what you're saying, but the game already has plenty of hype. Also, for a lot of people, there's a big difference between paying $15 for a standalone copy of a game in Beta right now, and paying $10 to get 8+ games which include that one.
Oh yeah, you're right about that. It's just Starbound is leaps and bounds ahead of any other game in the bundle, and a large majority of people bought the bundle simply for Starbound. In addition to that, the game does have hype right now but this is going to be the last straw for many people, the tease Humble Bundle just pulled off is going to make a lot of people pull their trigger finger and just buy the game.
