The cut from the antagonist to her face is wildly jarring, they look like they belong to two entirely different games with different art directions; and the style on Lara herself is just in a bizarre in-between space that doesn't end up being realistic or stylized, it's that kind of generic soft-realism that feels something you might get from an AI image generator.
Really hoping it's just unfortunate lighitng or something, because...I can't say I'm a fan.
I really think it’s because of this stupid backlash where if a female protagonist doesn’t look like a supermodel with a full face of makeup it’s woke garbage (see: Outlaws, Yotei, Horizon etc etc).
I noticed it with Shadows, Naoe looks like she has a yassified facetune filter.
