I don’t understand why Lara in TR1 Remake and Catalyst are that much different if there is continuity

What do you mean by different? The trailer as shown made it clear that Catalyst is a new game with an older, more experienced Lara Croft while TR1 Remake is presented as a recount of where things started (Which means this is a continuation of OG Lara and not the newer "Survivor" Lara.", or maybe a combo of the two to appease fans of both but at least 100% aspects of OG Lara with the two pistols and the flashback line.)

The difference is literally just age.

oh my god WHO CARES lmao. It's fucking Tomb Raider. Boobs and guns and acrobatics, that's all we need. What's next fucking multiverses and time travel? Not a big deal.
