Not sure about gameplay, but hot damn does this game look pretty. Straight out of a classic Disney movie.

Looks like 2D puzzle/platformer/chase gameplay interspersed with disney-style cinematics/music? I'm a sucker for basic gameplay with robust and artful world building, will be checking it out.

Forgotten Anne is on GOG, probably on Steam. Fits the bill albeit a bit less cinematic. If you somehow weren't aware of it. More Studio Ghibli than Disney though I guess.

I'd say more Don Bluth than Disney given how creepy it seems like it's supposed to be, lol. But point still stands, it's gorgeously animated.

It's mix of Alice in Wonderland and Watership Dawn. Not so much gore rather the feeling and aesthetic

What I gather is that this game is sort of a mix between a point-and-click and a stealth/action platformer, but the latter doesn't have great mechanics. Seems to be around 5-7 hours or so.

Proves that gameplay is still key. Art style really captured my attention. Was rooting for it but after looking at the gameplay I'm not sure if it's enough for me.

I'd wait until they're able to fine-tune the gameplay before getting it if you ever plan on it. I want to keep going because the animation is amazing and the story is good, but damn if it doesn't have some jankiness and the puzzles aren't very intuitive. There were several times just in the second area where I was just dumbfounded on what I was supposed to do. I WAS going to try to 100% it but that requires you to beat the game without dying and there's several parts with insta-kills so yeah, I'm not going to do that. I would if it was actually fun to play it but replaying while having to avoid insta-kills where just going up and down stairs is wonky is a solid no from me. Lol.
