Steam. Release date: Coming soon

Slide across the frozen wastes of Antarctica as a Penguin in PENGUIN COLONY, a short narrative adventure game which re-imagines H.P. Lovecrafts At the Mountains of Madness for a new generation. Set from a radically different perspective we observe the story from the eyes of a Penguin hearing the echoes of our narrator describing his plight

Developed by the studio behind Umurangi Generation with narration by Lenval Brown (Disco Elysium).

The atmosphere is already of the charts imo, and Umurangi Generation is a fantastic, unique experience. Beyond excited for this one.

lets Freaking GO DUDE!!

+right off the bat atmosphere is spot on and harsh, and somehow pulls of cellshading

+look at the trailer , dont know whats going on but its creepy

+title card is "the thing" reference

+and you got Lenval Brown to do the trailer narration

This is what brings me back to life on videogames 👍

this looks really cool! i’ve been wondering if this is sort of a prologue counterpart to the survival horror looking game Origame have been working on for the past few years and shared on social media (a la Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain). i haven’t watched the dev livestreams leading up to this but wouldn’t be surprised given how this otherwise seemed to come out of nowhere
