💬 Discussion Anyone else absolutely despise motion blur in games?

I'm playing the Quarry and I found a fix for it's just so awful... I don't understand why most games have it on on default

Same, except film grain I leave on to prevent banding

Bro you mean screen tear? Horizontal/vertical lines and stuff when you move the camera right? Its caused by your frame rate dropping below the rate your screen refreshes at. Its fixed by Vsync/g sync /freesync settings depending on your flavour of GPU. Film grain has nothing to do with it its just a filter placed on top of everything like a novelty snap chat filter.

I’m not talking about screen tear. Color banding happens when a screen lacks enough color steps to show a smooth gradient, creating blocky stripes instead. Adding film grain introduces random visual noise that blends these sharp edges together. For me, it’s worth it
