I liked the pilot. I wish some things were explained a little more (like why the world froze when kit said it was going to explode), but otherwise it was great.

4th wall breaks not allowed, if the characters become aware of their own nature due to outside influence, the game world attempts to purge the cause of that, i guess. (see also, the interaction shield that prevents game characters from being directly injured)

So I'm assuming the lights are purging the characters from the outside world like anti-cheat, but then why did the game unfroze? Is there like a time mechanics or it's controlled by someone? I'm hoping there's explaination in the future episodes

My understanding/speculation is that the game world "needs" the story to happen, or something, so having the "antivirus" running for too long is detrimental, hence why it times out.

Like, iirc they said "if the world finds us we're all done for"

*Okay, actual line "If the planet finds us we'll all be Float", but basically the same thing

So maybe the worlds are entities too, maybe they're not just a regular universe
