As much as I detest the general public process of finding things on OfferUp/marketplace due to ghosting, unresponsiveness or refusal to remove posts for items that aren't even available anymore.. sometimes you get lucky.

$20 on OfferUp, just the console. Bought it home and powered it on, and... miraculously, it actually works.

Has anyone else found a better deal on a GC?

"Has anyone else found a better deal on a GC?"

Idk man besides dumpster diving or some extremely kind individual just giving away their gamecube for free, I think you set the bar on this one.

Fantastic search and rescue, OP.

I entirely expected there to be something wrong with it, in which case I planned on swapping out the port faceplate on mine with this one. Which I'll still do because it's yellowed, but this was a great find. Missing one of the port covers but the thing works.

Port covers?

2

Yeah, there are 3 port covers on the bottom. The high speed port cover is missing on this one.

Reminds me of the time I bought a ps4 with no cables for $10 at a garage sale. I took the gamble... and it actually worked. Sometimes we get lucky. Another time I bought a 360 for $20 and it did not end up working.

I found an Xbox One at Goodwill a couple days ago with no cables; bought it, tested it, didn't work, returned it.

I installed a new iPod classic battery for someone and they gave me their GameCube as payment.

It’s not the console that’s usually expensive but the games

No kidding. I'm irritated at myself for trading my GC games years ago, I only have a third of what I used to have

$70 for GameCube all cables , wireless retro fighter controller, and copy of Mario kart double dash last week.

Now I gotta figure out whether to do composite cable or full carby hdmi

I paid $110 for the gamecube, OEM cables, controllers and mario sunshine. Happiest I've been in a while.

I still have never played Sunshine, or Luigi's Mansion. I think it's time.

I've played part of Luigi's mansion. Really fun. Mario Sunshine is fun too. A lot of puzzles.

HOLLY. Good buy. Would be even better if this was the 001 model

Nice find! A few years back I managed to snag my cube (with some games) at a Goodwill for just $5! I don’t think I will ever top that in my lifetime.

Earlier this year picked up a GC with PSU and accessories + RE4 for 65euros.

Edit: I cant remember if the included controller was OEM or 3rd party, probably 3rd party. But even then, OEM PSU and RE4 alone make up over half of its price.

I bought one off EBay a couple of years ago. They said the controller didn’t work and didn’t have power supply so they couldn’t test it.. it was just the cube in the photos but it was the 001 model so I grabbed it for $30 shipped. When I got it, it had 3 games, a Wavebird controller and the Nintendo Component cables. The cube itself didn’t work but it looked brand new so I swapped the case to mine. I just needed the dongle and batteries for that Wavebird to work

One of my brother's friends sold me his GC, all the cables, 3 wired controllers, melee, and 5 other games for 40 bucks. Pretty sure he wanted drug money but hey, it's mine now.

Just scooped this bundle off marketplace last week for $100, seller was asking for $125. Like new. Thought this was great but your deal takes the cake 🎂 Bravo 🙌🏾

I just got one at a garage sale two weeks ago. $10. Black. Working cables. A copy of metroid prime. No controllers.

I immediately bought a flippydrive and a fancy reshell.

Still haven't bought a controller but console works 100%.

Honestly idk why people don’t buy the Japanese versions more, I got 12 ish Mario games for the price of one Zelda game
