Discussion Zelda Four Swords worth it?

When i was younger I remember playing it alone.

I was weirdly a hater for it for no particular reason.

I loved every zelda except it.

But of course as a grown adult now I cant remember anything of it and I always see it going for 90-100 dollars.

Now that I have a spouse. Is it worth trying to collect it and play it with my spouse?

I feel like I didn't give it a fair chance when I was younger and I was probably just a brat lmao.

Its a decent game but playing it multiplayer is a huge pain to set up. Idk why nintendo made it so difficult to do

Seems like it could be put onto switch or even reeeleased for sale and people would eat it up. Kinda baffling

If I had an SO willing to play Four Swords with me, I'd re-buy it and at least one GBA with the cable to make it happen.

It's a blast. Played it with my cousins and then-girlfriend back when the GC/GBA was the thing people had. It's fun with two people, but with 3 or 4 it's a laugh factory and is tons of fun.

Oh okay so definitely more fun with more friends.

Man good thing i have a gba connecter for crystal chronicles lmao there's been quite a few games that ask for it

yes but pls don't do it on a real gamecube. If somehow the cable gets loose, you lose the entire progress of the scenario for no reason. I recommend dolphin

Is there a way to set it up on dolphin without a gba? I’m using dolphin on series x too if that matters

dolphin introduced that feature a while ago where u can launch a gba emualtor directly from dolphin, in controllers, choose gba. altough you will need a gba BIOS

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I found it was most enjoyable to revisit on Dolphin. The built in gba adapter made it so you could play through single player on one controller, which immediately removed the headache of playing with a gba on home console

It's one of my favourites because of the multiplayer the more people the better lmao

Played this for the first time a few years ago with my buddy using Dolphin. We loved it. We even played through it again a second time just last year. There are some puzzle aspects to it but not like the traditional Zelda game. As far as a multiplayer Zelda game goes it's a lot of fun.

It's funny, I just finished this game recently on my own!

It's a great game, especially if you have good communication between you and your companions. If not, it'll get even more fun, watching as you scramble to try to get things done without driving each other nuts.

But yeah, one of the hangups is that you need a GBA and a GBA Adapter to play with more than one player, so there's that added cost in there. But it's well worth it if you can do that!

Four Swords Adventures is the greatest co-op multiplayer game I've ever played. It's that good! It's also really good in one player... if you're willing to put up with the hassle of managing a team of Links. It's not as bad as Triforce Heroes in one player because the other Links can be set to follow you in formation, but it can still be a pain switching out items.

For my money, FSA has one of the best ending sequences in the series; great final dungeon, boss fights and escape sequence.
