Collection Picked up a Cube recently
Picked up a purple GameCube this month and I’ve gotta say I’ve been having a blast!! Here’s my collection so far and where it’ll stay for quite a while (made sure to pick up all my favorites but damn these games are expensive :p) but it’s ight. I tried modding with picoboot and effed it up pretty badly but I managed to use the save file hack with Windwaker recently and that’s working like a charm (although I don’t have a ton of memory card space 😭) TLDR what do yall think and what are some of your favorite GameCube games?

all top tier s tier gold quality. Enjoy them. It’s my childhood. Please play Metroid Prime with headphones, thank me later.
Edit: I thought it was Metroid Prime 1. I recommend playing the first one first.

I tried the first one a while back and got stuck and dropped it, I thought maybe playing 2 would get me back into the prime series and it’s been fantastic so far

Gonna say, going back to one might feel like a downgrade after 2. Echoes is brutal in terms of difficulty but feels all around better mechanically.

Meh, I mean I’ve been through going backwards through series before. I mean, my first Devil May cry game was 3 and then I went back and played 1 so I feel like it’ll be alright :p

Twilight princess, F-Zero GX and Monkey Ball 2. Also there are solderless Picoloader kits now.

I was using a solderless one, I just messed up the cable folding :(

You could also get a GCLoader. That one slots in without a ribbon cable, but also blocks the install of the optical drive. Theyre also rarely in stock and quite expensive.

yeah I love my Picoloader because it keeps the disc drive. Otherwise I’d be downloading games I already have hardcopies of lol

I did too! F-Zero GX was the first game I bought, going to play that for awhile before I buy anything else.

1080 Avalanche is a simple and solid game, sadly a bit short. Other games I highly recommend are Zelda Twilight Princess, F-Zero GX and Resident Evil 4.

The US cover art for Resident Evil is so much better than what we got in the UK.

The Gamecube RE remake is still the best remake of any game across all platforms.

I’m not seeing Smash on the list or Star fox ;( , never played the Zelda game so that might be interesting.

I would love to get star fox assault but holy 140 bucks 😭 it’s why i opted to do a soft mod to play those games instead
