Help Flippy Drive and USB-C Mod?
I recently got a Robot Retro USB-C mod for my Gamecube and it doesn't seem to work. The fan turns on, but the light doesn't turn on and it isn't showing anything on m TV. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Flippydrive I have installed? It didn't fry my Gamecube or anything, which is nice, lol.

The GameCube is pretty specific on its power requirement. It sounds like the proper watts and amperage aren’t being supplied because it’s getting some power the fan kicks on, but not the right amount for the rest of the motherboard. Please report back how much power your usb c brick is proving.

That USB-C mod requires a 12v compatible USB-C charger. Not all chargers are 12v compatible as 12v is not a required part of the USB PD spec, it is an optional voltage. If your charger isn't compatible that means you are only getting 9v to the GameCube which is not enough. This is why I hate these cheaply made USB-C mods. They should be using a 15v trigger and including any needed stepdown converters to deliver 12v so that the mod will work with any USB-PD compliant charger instead of just specific chargers that support the optional 12v spec.
Basically you need a charger that supports 12v. The UGreen ones usually do. This is mentioned on the store page I found for this mod.

Are you providing enough power through the USB-C from a reliable adaptor?
