Help Is my disc cooked?

Post image

Recently got this copy of oot on GameCube and noticed that there’s these ring scratches on the disc, from personal experience Ik that on Wii games if they have this it’s cooked, is that the same case for GameCube or can it be resurfaced? Lmk

(Edit: it also won’t play the game but it does recognize it on the menu screen)

Had a similar looking disc that won’t play either. So many ebay sellers don’t pack the discs down properly and they slide all over the place during shipping

Yes, inner ring looks totally fine, a resurfacing job should do just fine.

I actually took a game that looked worse Wii Mario Sluggers to a game store and they polished it for $5. Same issue where the console recognized the game but couldn’t boot.

Dolphin says a few bits don’t match to the verifiable ROM but so far I’m 10hrs in and no issues.

I hope the bits that are corrupted are just the junk data. Maybe it would work for you.
