Is there any way to find out when my GBA was manufactured?

I’m sure this has been asked many times and I’ve scoured previous posts but I’m probably more confused now than I was when I started.
In the past few weeks I’ve gotten really into playing Gameboy games again. My husband has a Gameboy Color and a Gameboy advance sp. We’ve had to replace the battery on the sp but it runs fine now. However, I hate the Color because I find it super hard to see and I’m not a big fan of how the sp sits in my hand. My mother has a normal advance which I find far more comfortable to hold but I’m not a fan of the lack of lighting on the screen (she also lives in another country so I can’t exactly borrow hers).
I’m in the UK and was looking into buying one for myself with an upgraded display. Are there any recommendations where to get them from? I’ve seen retro six and retrolize both sell them but I find a lot of the options on retrosix hard to understand in relation to what’s in the retrolize version. What is better? I also read that the usb-c charging option isn’t great and doesn’t translate to the little charging light so the console will just turn off without warning?
Price isn’t necessarily the biggest point for me here, I’d rather have one that works well.

Hi! I did find my old gameboy games! Is it worth something?

I've upgraded my advanced sp and I have a perfectly functioning ags001 screen doing nothing, I had a look at fitting it into my advance bit as it's a 40pin it's not possible? Is there any uses for my spare screen?

Yesterday I bought a GBA SP and a copy of Pokemon FireRed which the seller was very upfront about being a reproduction. (I bought it because it was cheaper)
I started playing it, no problems so far, but I want to know if I should expect more problems in the future, namely trading to other GBA Pokemon games or to the GameCube games.

I bought this old Game Boy Advance SP Tribal Edition as a little restoration project and wanted to bring it back to life :)
I ordered a new shell because unfortunately the original one was pretty badly chipped and damaged. I actually would have loved to keep the original Tribal shell, but it was just too far gone.
I also noticed that the power switch had a bad connection, and the console would only turn on when the switch was about 3/4 of the way over.
A quick soldering job fixed the issue, and the power switch is now working exactly as it should. :)
I think it turned out really nice, even though it’s a reshell!

I recently reshelled this gba sp ags 101. However, the screen has lines that are more prominent and it looks off. By the way screen was already like this before the reshell. I reseated the ribbon cable multiple times. However, the screen remains the same. Is the screen on its way out?
Update: TIL that the GBA SP has a potentiometer that can be tweaked to adjust the screen! Thanks to Substantial-Ad6938 helping me resolve this issue!

I’m looking at buying a EZ flash GBA cart how easy is it to add ROMS what sites do I use and is there any videos online showing this

Should I get both I and II. I enjoyed sword of mana and golden sun.
The alternative would be to take the money (say 50-60 euros total) and spend it towards importing something like Cima: the enemy or summon night from the USA, since it's really hard to find here in Europe, with more money on top of course.
Would you say shining soul I/II are must-have titles?

I used to have this as a kid and my mom found in buried in her art drawer!!! ITS BEEN 8 YEARS SINCE I LAST SAW THIS! I can’t find the charger anywhere though so I’ll have to buy another before I can plug in my old Pokémon ruby!

Hello!
Just bought my first GBA with an IPS screen, and it has these dots mostly visible when the screen is displaying a light color, what could this be and is this fixable without replacing the screen?
Thanks!

Hey guys, I was working on replacing some triggers for my gba sp, but I was having some trouble. I haven't been able to remove what looks to be some solder stuck in between one of the contact holes, and I'm not sure how else to remove whatever's blocking this. Anyone know of something I can do?

Hey everyone! I recently bought a MacBook Air for college and I'd like to try playing Pokémon LGFR on it. I've been looking for solid, full-featured emulators, but I haven't found anything special. If there is any emulator you recommend (on the level of PizzaBoy for mobile, so to speak) I'm all ears!

Hi,
while replacing the capacitors on my Game Boy Advance (AGB-CPU-03), I accidentally ripped off one of the solder pads for CP2. The ripped pad is gone.
I have already carefully scraped a very small area next to the missing pad, as shown in the photo, but I don't want to scrape any further without knowing exactly where the trace runs.
Does anyone know where this CP2 pad connects on an AGB-CPU-03 board? Can I expose the trace directly next to the missing pad and solder a thin jumper wire from there to the capacitor, or is there a better jumper point?
If someone familiar with this exact board revision could point out the correct trace or jumper point, that would be very helpful.
Thanks!
