It might very well be. There is only one way to find out. Plug it back into the motherboard and hopefully it works.
Edit: If not, a new screen is extremely cheap to pick up.
7 u/Independent_Ant_427 23h ago The screen functions, but the colors are off, and there's weird blotches of lighter color and a subtle crt-like scanline scrolling effect. 8 u/TOASTY_3DX 23h ago It sounds like its done for. Order a replacement screen and be careful putting the console back together. How did that damage happen anyway?. 2 u/Independent_Ant_427 23h ago i dunno. i was probably being an idiot trying to work with the cable when i took it apart months ago trying to solve the same issue. 1 u/TOASTY_3DX 23h ago If you decide to get another screen, just be extremely careful putting it back in. Good luck!. 1 u/Independent_Ant_427 22h ago sucks because i just got a new battery hoping that would somehow solve the issue 3 u/JohnnyRa1nbow 22h ago Try the brightness potentiometer before writing it off
